AYAWASO WEST WUOGON Constituency is located in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

It is one of the oldest Constituency in the Greater Accra Region. This seat has been in existence since 1992.

The Sensationalnewsportal.blogspot.com is taking us down memory lane,to predict who emerges winner of the upcoming by-election.

The by-election comes after the demised of the Member of Parliament of the area,Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko.

The contest is between the two top most Political Party, NPP and NDC.
The seat is being contested by four Political Parties, which is National Democratic Congress Candidate, Delali Kwasi Brempong, New Patriotic Party Candidate, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, who happens to be the late Member of Parliament's wife, Progressive People's Party Candidate,William Kofi Dowokpor, Liberal Party of Ghana candidate,Clement Boadi.

The seat was first won by National Convention Party's candidate, Francis Napoleon K. Kumah,in 1992.

Mrs.Rebecca Akweley Adotey won the seat for the NDC in 1996 by securing 35.1% and the NPP Candidate had 34.4%.

In the year 2000 elections, the NPP Candidate, George Isaac Amoo, won the seat,he had 56.2% whiles the NDC Candidate secured 36.5%.

Hon. Akosua Frema Osei Opare, the current Chief of Staff, then candidate of the area won the seat for the NPP in 2004, She got 52.1% against the NDC Candidate who had 37.9%.

Hon. Frema Osei Opare maintained the seat for the NPP in the 2008 elections, she polled 24,603 representing 48.2% whiles the NDC Candidate, Albert Kwadwo Twum Boafo, got 21,564 representing 37.8%.

In 2012 ,Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko ,maintained the seat for the NPP by polling 31,807. 50.30% and Kwame Awuah Darko,of the NDC, Polled 30,116 votes 47.63%. NDC nearly won the seat with a margin of 1,691. Awuah Darko could have won the seat if he was able to come back in 2016.

Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko again stretched the NDC in 2016 by securing 32,591 vote representing 57.32% and the NDC Candidate,Delali Kwasi Brempong polled 22,534 vote representing 39.63%. This goes to confirm that the new candidate was not the people's choice. Awuah Darko polled 30,000+ but in 2016 the NDC Candidate Mr Brempong dropped to 22,000+.

This same candidate is contesting for the NDC in the By-election against the wife of the late Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko.

The AYAWASO WEST WUOGON Constituency seat belongs to the NPP. Only ones the NDC won the seat whiles the NPP has won the seat for five consecutive times.

It could be deduced that, the strength of the NPP in the Constituency is higher than that of the NDC. There will be sympathy vote in favor of the NPP. But the voter turnout will not be low neither will it be massive. Incumbency will play major role in the by-election.

So,on this note it is obvious per the research, and Analysis and the trend that the NPP Candidate Lydia Seyram Alhassan will emerge victorious after the by-election. She is likely to secure 57% of the voter turnout of the
by-election.
