WIDOWS IN GHANA NEED APOLOGY-ASSIN SOUTH MP.

The Member of Parliament for Assin South Constituency, Hon. Rev. John Ntim Fordjour,has chides the act of Minority Members of Parliament on holding Placards calling the newly elected Member of Parliament Mrs. Lydia Alhassan ( Bloody Widow ) " it unfortunate for the legislatures to behave in such a manner" he said.

The 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu (Joe wise) ,on Tuesday Sworn  into office Madam Lydia Alhassan as Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon .

However, the Minority in Parliament walked out during the swearing in ceremony, saying they do not want to be  associated with violence, occurred in the residence of their candidate, Mr. Delali kwesi Brempong.

The Member of Parliament Condemned the uncivilized behavior of the MP's who were protesting against the swearing in of MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon.

He admonished the minority Members of Parliament to apologise to Mrs Lydia Alhassan and widows in the country for the embarrassment.

According to him, women play major roles in our dispensation of politics and must be encouraged  to participate in various positions in the country.

He said, the treatment Minority Caucus giving to Mrs. Lydia Alhassan can discourage many women when they get the opportunity to contest for the same position.

Furthermore, he called on civil society Organizations to condemn such manners and advice the NDC Minority of Parliament to apologise for good.

Finally, Hon. Ntim urged the police to work fast and fish out the perpetrators of Current voilence incident at Ayawaso West Wuogon by- elections.

According to sources, the bubbly presenter tendered in her resignation to her bosses on Wednesday, January 30. Ohemaa Woyeje has not been heard on radio since October last year and many of her fans had been asking questions on her whereabout. The source told Showbiz certain events at the station had informed Ohemaa Woyeje's decision to leave because she felt unfairly treated.
